Welcome to my small patch of the world wide web! I’m happy to briefly introduce myself. I am a Los Angeles based makeup artist. I moved to Los Angeles for a career in comedy after studying communication and theatre at Ithaca College, in Upstate NY.

I spent thirteen years performing as a comedian, but found myself hanging out more and more in the makeup and hair trailers while filming. I decided to pursue my interest in beauty by creating and writing a beauty blog, GirlGetGlamorous. One thing lead to another – doing makeovers for the blog turned into requests from friends and family for makeup for events, which turned into requests from strangers for work and then…I had a new career.

It was a hard decision to make at first, but leaving the comedy world for a career in makeup has turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!

As I transitioned from comedy to makeup, I was very fortunate to learn and work with some of the best makeup artists working today, including Mary Greenwell and Jo Stretell.

I was able to assist on some real fancy-pants shoots before taking on my own clients. I even got to do red carpet glam for a client for this year’s Emmy’s. Hot dang! What a year.

I feel fortunate every day that my luck has continued as I get to work with amazing photographers, models, and creative directors that push me to grow and do my best creative work.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my site and portfolio! – Molly
